Breaking Down Courses 2!
Learning how to analyze a course is not easy at times even for a seasoned and experienced competitor. It's a skill that takes time and a lot of practice. I often think of it as a complex math problem, just because you know the formulas and the numbers doesn't mean you can put all the information together to get a correct answer.
Breaking Down Courses 2 is a strictly indoors, handler focused, on paper class. No need to bring you or your dog out into the cold winter weather!
Every week for 6 weeks 6 previously ran NADAC course maps will be posted and you will be asked to either print it out or mark it up on your computer with how you would run the course. Mark your path, your dog's path, where you would gives cues, where would you use certain handling choices such as crosses or switches. Mark where you would need to apply your pressure for distance and so much more. Upon completion of all things asked for you can then post your map or maps back to Erin for further analysis and conversation.
Breaking Down Courses 2 will be the perfect way to keep your mind working and thinking about how to handle when the weather just isn't on your side!.
